You are invited to join Amy for an exciting morning of birdwatching at the University of Guelph Arboretum from 9:00-11:00 am on Saturday, June 24th, 2023. This introductory bird walk will meet inside Wild Birds Unlimited at 8:45am and return at approximately 11am.
Walk is weather permitting. If you already have a pair of binoculars be sure to bring them along, if not, there will be a limited number available for loan. Please register in advance by email, in-store, or by phone at 519-821-2473.

It’s that time again! Time to celebrate who you are, with your community, at Pride Toronto’s 2023 Pride Parade. This impactful Festival weekend is a time for us to come together to not only celebrate how far we’ve come, but to also show the world that we’re here and our lives matter. With 100+ groups marching this year we’re grateful to see how much support our community has gained. From glittery costumes and drag queens, to dynamic performances and good music to get you dancing, we’re sure to make your 2023 Pride experience both exciting and memorable.
We offer 6 accessible risers/viewing stations alongside our Parade route. Please take note of the intersections below:
St. Mary’s St. & Yonge St. – accessible riser
Isabella St. & Yonge St. – accessible riser
Breadalbane St. & Yonge St. – accessible riser
Wood St. & Yonge St. – accessible riser
Elm St. & Yonge St. – accessible riser
Edward St. & Yonge St. – viewing station (ground level)
We will also have free water being offered at the above mentioned intersections alongside Carlton St. & Yonge St.
Please remember to stay hydrated and plan ahead to bring anything necessary to keep you comfortable in the summer sun. Please bring water, sunscreen and food to get you through the day as you experience one of the biggest North American Pride Parades.
Join us at the corner of Church St N and Bloor St E at 2pm to kick off Canada’s largest Pride Parade. Follow us southbound along Yonge St, with us turning RIGHT this year on Dundas St. W. Folks can make their way straight to NPS off of Bay St. where the festivities continue for the remainder of the night. We’re looking forward to you joining us at our new ending point at Nathan Phillips Square where our NEW Main Stage and Beer garden will be. We can’t wait to celebrate Pride with you!

One of Vancouver BC's most anticipated summer street festivals returns, Greek Day on Broadway which will take place on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Greek Day on Broadway is an annual community street festival which spans five blocks from MacDonald to Blenheim Street in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighbourhood in the heart of Vancouver's Greektown.
This free event is the largest one-day Greek festival in Vancouver, attracting more than 100,000 people every year.
The celebration will feature a world of authentic Greek food and beverages from local shops and vendors. There will be souvlaki, spanakopita, loukoumades, and more!
Visitors will also enjoy music and entertainment on the live stages throughout the day. There will also be an opportunity for a chance to win some amazing prizes so don't forget to pick up your raffle prize ticket!

In honour of the start of BBQ season a new festival is coming to Langford BC on June 24th at the Starlite Stadium -- Bacon, Beer and Bourbon Festival!
Festival goers are encouraged to bring their own bib to this outside BBQ event as there will be drool-worthy bacon and pork products supplied by Vancouver Island's own Hertel Meats, renowned for quality and their pork's freshness. The Festival celebrates the best seasonal beers, bourbon cocktails, and pork-forward chef creations. It is inspired by unique pairings between chefs and mixologists!
This will be the ultimate adult backyard party. Immediately, upon admittance at the gate festival goers will receives a complimentary bourbon or beer sample as well as a free offering of Hertel's Bacon. As this is a 19+ event you will need to bring two pieces of government ID along with your ticket.
Tickets Available from the website below:
General Admission - $45 + service fees and taxes - includes entry to the Festival and 2 tokens for each category; Bacon, Beer, and Bourbon. More tokens can be purchased on-site. Tokens will range in price from $2.50 to $4.50.
There are also VIP tickets available for $150 + service fees and taxes and this includes 1- hour early access to the event (starting at 4 PM instead of 5PM) and is an all-inclusive ticket, so bring your appetite!
There will also be Americana themed busker stations throughout the Festival, larger-than-life lawn games and an opportunity to vote for your favourite creations and combinations.

Candy Catapult: Kids gather in the middle of the field to collect candy that will be released from a catapult at scheduled periods throughout the day.
Stunt Kite Flying Lessons: For those who have a stunt kite and aren’t quite sure how to fly it, lessons will be given on-site. The lessons are not only available to kids — adults who would like to try their hand at stunt-kiting are also welcome. Stunt kites are available.
Scavenger Hunt: Get your bag and list at the Welcome Booth and hunt down all sorts of items to win a great prize.
Obstacle Course Fun! Kids can run, crawl, hop, and weave their way through the obstacle course to get a prize. All attempts win!
For a small fee, kids can access many different activity stations. Windscape Bucks are sold at the Children’s Activities Area for $1 each and can be used at the following:
